The symbolic aspects of this piece lie in its potential to engage with the concept of messages. They evoke Exu as the one who carries messages between humans and the orixás, thus being a deity associated with offerings and the bridges that allow intense communications between what is seen and what happens on mysterious and symbolic planes—often unnoticed, yet always around us.
